Hexy — Website Color Picker & Eyedropper is built to do one thing locally, with no strings attached.
What we collect
Nothing. The extension does not collect, store, or transmit any personal or usage data about you.
What is stored, and where
The only thing the extension saves is your list of recently picked colors (up to the last 12). These are stored on your own device using Chrome's chrome.storage.local API. This data:
- Never leaves your browser.
- Is not sent to us or to any third party.
- Can be erased at any time with the extension's “Clear” button, or by removing the extension.
Network activity
The extension makes no network requests of any kind. It contains no analytics, no tracking, no remote code, no external fonts, and no calls to any server or CDN. Everything it needs ships inside the extension package.
Permissions
The extension requests a single permission, storage, used only to save your color history locally as described above. It requests no host permissions and no access to your browsing activity, tabs, or page content.
